Designation Fresher - Graduate Engineer Trainees
Job Description Fresher - Selected candidates will undergo on the job training for one year. During the training period, they will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs.12000/-p.m. On successful completion of training and if found suitable by the Management, the trainees will be considered for placement in the Management cadre in the pay scale of Rs.12000 – 17500 on a starting basic pay of Rs.12000/- with total emoluments of Rs.23300/- p.m (approx). (In addition to this, they will be entitled for Medical Reimbursement, LTC/LTA, EPF, Gratuity and other benefits as per Company rules).

Out of the above 41 posts, 5 posts are reserved for SC, 3 for ST and 12 for OBC. (Orthopaedically handicapped candidates meeting the minimum criteria can also apply and 1 post is reserved for such OPH candidates. For OPH candidates age is relaxable by 10 years and degree of disability should be minimum 40% or more.)

SELECTION

The selection methodology will comprise of written test, group discussion and interview. The candidates short-listed in the written test will be required to appear for group discussion/Interview for final selection. Appointment will be subject to the candidates clearing the medical examination.

General Information and Conditions

1) Wherever CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade in a degree is awarded, equivalent percentage marks should be indicated in the application as per norms adopted by the University/Institute.

2) Reservations/Relaxations/Concessions for SC/ST/OBC/Orthopaedically handicapped candidates will be as per Government directives.

3) Persons employed with Government or Semi-Government Organisations/Public Sector Undertakings should submit their applications through proper channel.

4) Application with incomplete information and/or not accompanied with true copies of all certificates and mark-lists (1 to 8 semesters/years of Engineering Degree mark-lists compulsory) /testimonials regarding age, qualifications, experience (nature of experience should be specified) and caste/community (in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates) are liable to be rejected.

5) SC/ST/PH candidates called for written test/interview are eligible for to and fro II class train/bus fare as per rules.

6) The job involves working on rotating shifts.

7) Everything else being equal, preference will be given to erstwhile KRL project evictees.

8) The Management reserves the right to fill or not to fill all or any of the above positions without assigning any reason whatsoever.

9) Posting shall initially be at Kochi and the services are transferable anywhere in India as required by the Company.

10) Those candidates domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 will be allowed 5 years relaxation in upper age limit (Proof to be attached with application).

11) First class with 60% marks is relaxed to 50% marks (in aggregate of all semesters/years) for SC/ST and Orthopaedically handicapped candidates

12) Upper age limit not applicable for internal candidates. Right to restrict candidates: The Management reserves the right to call for test/interview only those who in its opinion, are likely to be suitable. Management may at its discretion, raise/relax the eligibility standard to restrict the number of candidates or to make available sufficient number of candidates to be called for written test/interview.

Candidate Profile
First class Engineering Degree in the respective discipline with 60% marks (in aggregate of all semesters/years) from a recognized University.
